Hey Sweetie!

How's it going?  We have had a very busy week!   It is been nice having Ryan home, but it has been hectic!  I have started physical therapy on my ankle...it has really brought the pain back. :(    We did a lot of shopping--Poor Ryan had NO clothes.  We got him some pants.  He is wearing your basketball shorts (hope that is ok).   We still need to get some shirts.  However, he is going to go through the dressers in the room and see what he can wear.  No worries--I will set you up when you get home.  If there is anything in particular that you really want...let me know.

We saw the orthopedic for Ryan and scheduled his surgery for today.  He has to check in at noon, with a surgery at 1:30pm.  The surgery should take about 1 hour, with the post surgery time of around 1-3 hours.  Just depends on how he does coming out of the anesthesia.  I will try and call your mission home after he is home and ask them to please let you know that everything went fine!  Don't freak out if I don't get to it today, it may be tomorrow.

So, Ryan has decided that he wants to go to BYU-Idaho.  We have all the paperwork in.  I am not sure if he will get in for January (although he would love to).   Things have sort of fell apart with his plans.  He went to the fire department and found out that there is NO opening for him.  He can check it out again in January, but there is no guarantee, and his plans were centered around being on the fire department.  We are trying to figure out an alternative plan in case he can't get in for Winter semester.  I think he will be totally depressed if he can't get in for winter.

So funny thing...your brother is a walking HORMONE!!!  I think 2 years without girls has done a number on him.  He and Valerie Chausse have been texting and Skyping.  They text daily and Skype whenever possible.  It is kind of cute.  He really wants to go to BYU-i so he can see her in person and "see if things progress".  He reminded me that when he was dating her before, he told me that she was the kind of girl he would want to marry.  She is in the nursing program.  So, your brother is looking to get married....not sure what I think about it.  Oh well!

Nala doesn't really like Ryan yet...I think it upsets him.  I told him that you always laid on the floor and she would come to you.  He has been trying that and it has helped.  She still doesn't like him when he stands up.  Oh well, the things we do to get Nala to interact with us huh??

Saturday, I picked up Aunt Cindy from the airport in Denver.  She had been missing home and her grandkids, so she flew out.  We went to see Uncle Rick.  He was working, so we just dropped by.  He told me that it would be good if I looked at their used cars because they were marking them way down due to hail damage.  Well, I found one that was within the price we are looking at...so, we bought it.  Here is a picture...

We are selling the Avenger to Ryan.  We really struggled over how we could help him with a car.  So, this sort of fell in our lap.  It is a NICE car.  It drives like the Avenger, but has more "goodies" on it.  It is about the same size as the avenger too...may be a little shorter though.  I really like it though.  My phone automatically hooks up so I am completely hands free.

Well, I need to get going.  I sure love you!  Always remember who you are!  Mind your p's and q's.  Play as hard as you work!  Be STRICTLY obedient!  Know that I love you beyond measure!!!

Love, Mom
