Howdy my missionaries!
How are my favorite missionaries? I sure hope you are both doing good!!! Wow Ryan...we are down to 1 month! Hard to believe that 2 years is almost over. I am so proud of you boys!!! I hope it is alright that I write to both of you at once. My arms have not liked me lately, and it is exhausting just typing....I know lame huh?
My surgery on my ankle went well. I guess there was a lot of gunk in the joint, so he did what is called a synovectomy and debridement. Basically, he cleaned it up. I am hoping this will help...he told Dad that he thought it would help. I hated always having my ankle hurt when I walked. I have traded that in for crutches and aching arms and wrists. I am non-weight bearing for 2 weeks. In other words, I can't use my left foot at all. I have been cheating and using it for balance...really no weight just the toe area. I have 2 holes on either side of my ankle. I am not sure how many stitches in each. I will probably have to go through physical therapy afterwards. I am alright with it as long as I will be able to climb Pikes Peak the summer Chris gets home! Here is a pretty picture of my foot...not much to look at!
Nala thinks she has to protect me!
I made it to school on Friday. I never thought I would actually make it to the class...it was so far away from the car!!!! I took my test. I actually did alright...not GREAT, but at least I am barely passing the class now. I got an 84%. So my overall grade is a 79%. I need to just do the next 2 tests the same way and I will pass this class. I wish I had more wiggle room! I do enjoy the advanced pharmacology, but it is HARD!!!
I am doing real well in my statistics class. The book that this stupid professor wrote is HORRIBLE and is getting WORSE! I basically have to teach myself. Then I take the test, then dad and I review it. Then I get on-line and submit it. I usually get 100%, but this last one I missed one. It was a stupid mistake too, ha,ha. Anyhow, I believe I will end up with an A in that class.
Tiffany seems to enjoy being the only child at home....she does miss her brothers, however, she has been able to wrap dad around her little finger so tight, that I think that he might break...ha,ha. She talked him into getting her another computer program. She is worried that I am making her out to sound like a brat...really she is not a brat, she is just spoiled rotten! ha,ha. Actually she has been an angel with me being down! It is so hard to have others wait on me and she has done it with a smile on her face! It is nice to not feel like I am putting someone out! Not sure what I would do without her and dad!!
The weather has changed quite a bit. The leaves have all started changing and falling. I LOVE fall! It is one of my most favorite times of the year. It is not too hot and not too cold! Although Tiffany would beg to differ on that one! I am sure my hot flashes contribute to me being hot though. I still have to have a fan going at night and here in the family room where I sit...poor TT and Dad!
Chris...did you get your birthday box? (Ryan remember, we will celebrate your birthday when you get home!) What did you think of it? Tiffany made the best part of your box (The mine craft mug). Chipper really liked that green bag. He kept stealing it so that he could groom it...it was quite humorous! He didn't understand why I would not let him keep it! lol I hope you picked up on the fact that you were supposed to put a candle in the Twinkie and sing happy birthday to yourself!
Well, I had better get going...we need to head out to church. I am so proud of you two!!! Always remember who you are...mind your p's and q's. Be strictly obedient! Work as hard as you play! Know that I love you beyond measure!
Love!!!
Mom :)
