November 22, 2016

Hey Sweetie:

How's it going?  Hopefully all is going well with you and you are working your tail end off. :)

This week has been sort of a "let down".  Jessica, Tim and Danny were supposed to leave last Sunday, but stayed later.  They were to leave on Tuesday...well…Monday night it started snowing and blizzarding…Tuesday it was still snowing and blizzarding.  They were supposed to leave in the evening.  My clinical got cancelled, all the school districts were closed. I-25 between Monument and Castle Rock was closed.  We had 3-4 foot drifts.  We shoveled a good 12+ inches off the driveway….now mind you, Ryan and Siera took the expedition on their honeymoon since they went up to Estes Park.  I put my little car in reverse and GUNNED the engine and tore out of the driveway.  I wasn't sure if I could make it down the street.  We made it…whew.  We took the car and got new tires on it and waited to hear if I-25 would open.  It finally did, so we drove to the airport.  The roads were snowpacked with patches of ice, but we made it to the airport on time.  So, they left.

So, Wednesday, I was in a BAD mood.  I was ready to bite everyone's head off…I'm not even sure why!  Oh well, everyone stayed clear of me…ha,ha.  I also worked on my research paper that was due on Thursday.  I got that done…it was NOT fun!

Thursday was class.  That went well.  I struggled to stay awake.  I am not sure why. So, Jessica called Thursday or Friday (can't remember which day), crying…not just a little but a lot! I'm not sure if I am allowed to tell you, but I am going to anyway (don't let her know)..She found out that she is pregnant again.  It was not planned.  She was on the pill, but had antibiotics which decreases the efficacy of the pill…and she got pregnant.  I think she was so upset because she didn't expect it!  After all, it has only been 7 months since Danny was born.   By this weekend, she was happier about being pregnant.

Funny thing, while she was here, I had a strong impression to give her the sweater and hat that Grandma Rita crocheted for her when she was a baby.  Also, they were talking about spoiled rotten kids, and how Jessica didn't want a spoiled kid…dad said "there's a cure for that"…and Jessica asked what, and he said "a little sister."  I wonder if they were subtle cues trying to tell her that this is the Lord's will.  Say extra prayers for her…at least you will be here for when that baby is born!

Remember the song "Old leary Lady"…you know Late last night when we were all in bed….  Well, I have made up my own version.  You see, "you" have been EVERYWHERE in this house…lol…so here is my version (using the backwards version)

Last night late when we were all in bed
Mom had to pee, but dad was in the can
So, she went to the door, and opened it and said
"There's gonna be a flood here on the floor there tonight"

This was sung in response to Tiffany putting you just outside our shut door.  I about wet my pants…but didn't…luckily, or Tiffany would have been in trouble.

In response, I put you right outside HER door…I guess you scared her when she got up in the morning.  You then ended up in the computer room…and startled dad.  Dad figured it was Tiffany, and put you in the shower.  Currently you are in MY shower.  It sort of freaks me out every time I walk into the bathroom and forget you are there.  Nala went into the bathroom to get a drink and just started growling…kind of funny!  So with that in mind, here are a few more picts of the wedding with YOU involved!
Is being kissed by your sister-in-law legal??
How sweet to place yourself between the bride and groom!
Here you are preparing to catch the garter….really Elder!  lol
Cutting the cake…aka…BEFORE
I think Siera got the best of Ryan…ha,ha

I have this whole week off from school!! I am hoping that I get the rest and relaxation that I need!  Can you believe that on Wednesday, I will have been married to my best friend for 26 years???  I sure love your dad!!!!!!!

We will have a full house for Thanksgiving--we will have Ryan and Siera, Brian and his family, Rick (the queen is going to Utah and leaving him at home), Linda and Jason, Gpa and Mary, and possibly the Jamison's (haven't heard from them yet…I was told maybe)  It should be fun!

Well, ALWAYS remember who you are!  Know that I love you beyond measure!  Be strictly obedient and SPRINT to the end!  Keep your chin up!  Mind your p's and q's.  I can't think of anything else!  Have a GREAT week!

Love ALWAYS!
Mom
