Have you taken your bike to the mission home so that they can send me the weight and dimensions ? I need this info so that I can arrange to have your bike shipped home. :)
Are you ok if "other" people come to welcome you home at the airport, or would you rather it just be your family and Sally?
So, here's the problem. Thyme wanted to come and surprise you (they key word is SURPRISE). Her and a friend are planning on driving out to Colorado. She was having issues finding a place to stay. Not thinking, WE, dad and I, did the "nice" thing and offered for her and her friend to stay in our basement. She seemed relieved to have a place. Then this morning, both of us realized what we did…I have no idea if it would be alright with you. It could be awkward to have her here while you are adjusting to being home. I am telling you this because, if you prefer, I can still back out with her. We only offered to be nice, as we would with anyone else. Please let me know what you think….
Is it ok if she comes to the airport? and Is it alright if she stays with us for a few days?
Ok, so, my week. I worked Monday and Friday…not much to say there. I did have issues with the new nurse that I relieve. She is a IDIOT! She is not working with a "full set", her elevator doesn't go up to the top, she is a few cards shy of a deck…you get my drift..ha,ha. Anyhow, Monday, I relieved her…she had to give me report about my patient. She is so strange, her body language says that she does NOT like me…(that's her problem). After she left, I started taking care of my little guy. I had to change his diaper..no biggy, however, when I started gathering the stuff, I noticed there was poop on the spray used to clean him, poop on the wipes, and poop on the butt paste we put on him…it seemed to be everywhere! What was this idiot thinking!?! This is a major health issue…we are putting stuff down his trach…stuff like that could cause major infections that could kill him. I ended up throwing out the spray, and cleaning everything else up. I was in shock…this is BASIC care! She also did a horrible job at cleaning him! When she came to relieve me, I gave her report and told her first of all that my little guys meds needed to be given ASAP because he had started having seizures. I don't think she liked me telling her what to do (even though the mom told me to tell her that). Then I had to tell her about the mess she left. She was totally oblivious about it. She had no clue what I was talking about. That scares me even more! Who knows what else she is doing wrong!! She was certainly upset when I left--Oh well, not my problem!
Friday, I came in to relieve her. She hardly said anything to me, and still wouldn't look at me. Ok, no big deal--no sweat off my back! I proceeded to care for my little guy. He didn't need a diaper change all morning, when I gave him his bed bath at 9am, I did pericare--basically, that is where you change the diaper and clean him even if he doesn't need it as part of his bath. I was horrified to find poop still on his bottom! It wasn't clumps, but when I used a wipe to clean him, it was obviously poop! There was even a little shmear on the edge of his leg…and she never put on the butt paste (that is in our orders that we follow). I was NOT happy! I decided that I would just bring it up to her later, but found out she was not working that night. I decided to just let it go! Well, later in the afternoon, my little guy was sleeping. He is always hooked up to a monitor that shows his oxygen saturation and his heart rate. The alarms that are set on the machine are according to the doctors orders. Well, I noticed that his heart rate went real low (50 beats per minute) and the alarm wasn't going off…That IDIOT changed the alarm so it wouldn't go off until 45 beats per minute. WOW! Talk about a blatant NO NO!! My manager came in to deliver my pay check and I reported her. I guess during the night, my little guy was having problems breathing and the mom had to come down to help…each time she was doing things like brushing his teeth or changing his diaper, when she should have been addressing the breathing problem. Hello…I believe breathing is more important than a dirty diaper! How's that for excitement?? ha,ha
Tiffany worked full-time this week. By Saturday night, she was exhausted and in tears. She just has to aclimate to working. She said that many of the people who signed on when she did have already quit. However, when I was at Walmart the other day, she seemed to be doing real good. I made sure I checked out with her. :)
So, yesterday, we changed phone carriers…We ended up with Sprint. Hopefully they will be ok with service…it is half the cost of what we were paying even with the addition of another line (your phone). Yep, we have a phone ready for you. You will not have the same phone number as before, but that is life. I think Ryan may have that number…oh well, he had to start over and so will you.
Oh, I work the day you come home until 3:30pm, that gives me enough time to get to the airport. Then I have the rest of the week off to spend with you. It will be nice to have the time off. :)
Sorry, I am not trying to make you trunky! So, the other night, we had rootbeer floats. Nala LOVES ice cream!! When we were done, she decided she had to have the cups to get the extras out…I got a cute picture of it..
Then the next night, we finished off the ice cream…
