How's my favorite missionary? I sure hope all is going good!
ALERT!!!! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT FOR EASTER!!!!! THERE IS NOT ANOTHER P-DAY! (actually, I am on spring break this week and it will help to do it this week)
So, after a gruelling week, I am off for a whole week…WOO HOO!!! I was not sure I would make it through, but somehow I did! I can honestly say that I Friday during the 3 hour lecture, I kept thinking…we should already be on spring break. I had issues paying attention. Good thing for me, I recorded it. My goal this week is to catch up on all the reading (I am so far behind) and listen to all of the lectures. We have a test the week we go back. I am also going to clean out the upstairs hall closet (the one with the sheets in it). It has gotten real bad!!! I also want to organize my closet again. It isn't too bad at this point, but if I don't get on top of it, it will be real bad!
So, we went to Denver yesterday and had your cousin Kimmy cut Tiffany's hair. It is SOOOOO cute!!!
And of course, she always has to have that hat on! lol
Anyhow, while we were there, we ended up switching from Verizon to T-mobile. It is WAY cheaper and we all now have smart phones. Yep, your baby sister is SPOILED! lol. It will end up saving us about $70 a month. Not too shabby huh?
I was just Skyping with Jessica and Tim. I guess they have decided on a name for your little nephew. It will be Daniel Scott Powell. Cute huh? I can't wait to meet him. She sent me a bunch of pictures this week. I guess I can start and show them to you now. :) The first picture was taken tonight. She is getting BIG :)

I guess her and Tim went to a birthing class yesterday. They both said it was super long and HOT. They were a little disappointed that they really didn't learn anything new. I think Tim is a little worried about it all..ha,ha. I guess he could not even watch the video of them giving a woman an epidural. Delivery should be very interesting!

Jessica cracks me up…she says that the two of them smile alike and that their teeth are alike…ect. Do NOT repeat this….She says that she thought she would enjoy hanging out with them, but it is like having 2 Ryans there…ha,ha. I guess they laugh alike too. I wonder how much of that is her pregnancy!?!
Here is another tidbit that you are NOT to repeat!!! Ryan called the other night (I think it was Tuesday cause he thought it would be alright to call around 11:45pm thinking I was just getting out of my clinical). I guess Siera told him that she loves him. She is still not ready for marriage, but I believe it is getting closer. He already knows how he wants to propose…he wants to climb up somewhere in Garden of the Gods and have rocks below spelling out "will you marry me". I guess she loves rock climbing also. I think it is kind of cute, but will be a LOT of work finding rocks to spell that out!
So, funny thing…when we were getting out phones switched out, there was a guy there that was pretty tattooed up. One of his tattoos on his arm was a barking spider. Tiffany pointed it out and started laughing. It was funny, but a bit bitter sweet since Gma Rita was known for blaming her gas on "barking spiders." I guess this guy got the tattoo in memory of his grandfather who had passed away who always used that as his excuse. Funny huh?
Aunt Kari posted a cute picture today…I thought you might enjoy seeing it…
So, extra prayers are needed for my cousin, Christie, and her family. Her son was in an accident where he fell off of a truck backwards and landed on his head. He had a brain bleed, where they had to operate and then put him in a medically induced coma. The whole time he was watched to make sure the intracranial pressure did not go up too high. Anyhow, he is currently breathing on his own. He has a LONG road ahead of him!!! He has a wife and 3 small children. His name is Garrett. I don't think you would remember him, but I am sure you remember my cousin Christie…she is the one that we went to her baptism a long time ago.
On a lighter note. You said that you cover the town of Tekoa right? Well, that is where MY grandfather was born--Grandpa Walt (grandpa's dad). I didn't realize it, but Lori called and informed me. Then just to make sure, I texted grandpa and just asked where his dad was born…and yep…it was Tekoa, Washington! Anyhow, I thought that would be a fun tidbit for you. :)
Well, I really have no clue what else to write. I am so proud of you! I know you are doing what the Lord wants you to do. And I know that you will become a better person, son, sibling, husband, father because of your service! I love you beyond measure! I am so glad you are my son!
