Hey there Sweetie!

How's my most favorite missionary?  I hope this email finds you happy, healthy and feeling loved.  I realized that I am a bit of a slacker.  I did not send you a valentine's day box.  What a lame mother I am.  I am so sorry.  I don't seem to have my head screwed on straight!  I guess I don't deal real well with stress.  There are so many changes and so much to do, that I think I am overwhelmed.  Throw in you father being stressed by work and I am just on overload.

I finally got my RN license.  It is official!  I did orientation at my new job on Wednesday.  I have to say that it was boring…they have to go through a bunch of paper, procedures…etc…Then on Friday, I went to meet my new patient.  His mother is a saint!!!  She adopted this little boy when he was 18 months.  They told her that they thought he would only live to 2 years of age….guess they were wrong.  He has a twin sister who is not as bad off as he is, but has definite mental problems (not psychiatric).  The mother adopted her when she was 3 years old.  She has 2 children of her own and she cares for others too.  Amazing woman!!!  I am not supposed to be telling you all this stuff, so please don't share.

This week, I will start training.  I will be working Thursday and Friday with the nurse that covers those days from 6am - 6 pm.  Then the following week, I will work on Wednesday with the other nurse who cares for him.  Then again on Friday--the respiratory people will be coming to personally train me on the ventilator.  It is a bit intimidating, but hopefully, I will be able to do it.  I worry about all this working with trying to get my school work all done.  Lucky for me, the third class doesn't start for another week…Hopefully, I will be able to pull it off!

I don't know if I told you, but Ryan is working as a caregiver fulltime.  He loves it.  I don't think I ever remember hearing him so happy.  I just wish he would/could get an education so that he can provide for his family in the future.   We will see what happens.  It is strange to hear that he is caring for someone and is receiving only $9/hr and me with a 2 year degree makes $25/hr.  The education will really pay off!

Well, I really don't have much else to say, plus I have a splitting headache.  I believe it is probably from just being stressed out.  I have to make sure I stop clenching my jaw.  It is all good though.  Oh, I have a new insurance card for you.  The one you have will not work.  I plan on mailing it out on Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday.  I will just send it to the mission home and they will forward it.  Unless you want me to send it directly to you.  If you do, let me know when you write.

I sure love you and I am proud of you!

Take care!
Love ALWAYS
Mom
