Hey Chris!
I was going to write the letter you asked me to write, but I wasn't sure what it was that you were looking for. Also, Linda said she would write a letter, but would like to know what you want in that letter.
Brother Hansen would like to know if he can borrow one of your trombones (I was thinking maybe the one you used for marching band) for his son Ryan to try. I guess he wants to play that in the Timberview band. I told him that I would ask you.
So, we have had an interesting week!!! That is putting it mildly! I finished my on-line class--woo hoo.
Monday I spent the day getting my BLS for Healthcare providers (basic live saving) and my ACLS (Advanced cardiac life saving). It was kind of fun. There were 5 of us. One of them was a guy who just finished his doctorate…he is a pediatrist. He is going to go do his internship. We sort of gravitated to each other. Super nice kid. We went to lunch together (it was an all day class). I found out that he is LDS. He was leaving soon to go to Arizona to be married in the Gilbert temple. We had a great conversation over lunch. It was nice to have him with me during the tests…funny thing, we ended up with the same scores…lol (no we were NOT cheating--we didn't even sit next to each other--we all had our own tables)
I can't remember what I did Tuesday…I think I just zoned out..ha,ha.
However, on Wednesday, while I was taking my on-line, timed test, Ryan called several times. I finally answered and tried to tell him that I was taking a test. He did not sound too good, but I needed to finish the test. I told him I would call him right back. I felt that something was really wrong, so I hurried through--I ended up with a 94%--not too bad for rushing…that gives me an A in the class.
Ok, so, I called Ryan back. He was a mess!!! He said that the only thing going right in his world is Siera. Everything else is falling apart around him. He is unable to think, concentrate, ect. It was sad. We found out that he had to make a decision THAT day (Wednesday). He decided to drop all of his classes (it was the last day to drop and NOT have it affect his GPA). He is coming home to get him straightened out emotionally (I'm seeing a trend here!). Anyhow, the nurse in me kicked in and I asked if he had thoughts of harming himself. He assured me that currently he does not…although, last semester he had thoughts of harming himself…and also in the mission field….I was like WHAT!?!? Why am I just now hearing about this! That cemented the decision for him to come home. He is able to get a deferrment. He is coming home tomorrow (today--Monday). I already have a councelor lined up for him. He will also go see Dr. Owen (haven't set up that appointment). We need to get his meds straightened out ASAP!!! He is having a hard time with the thought of leaving Siera, but she wants him to get better. So, extra prayers would be super helpful. Hopefully he will be able to get a full time job, earn money and heal.
After that, the week seemed to be a blurr! Dad left for Utah on Friday. He was so excited to see Danny. I can not lie, I am a bit jealous. I think it will be good for Dad. He returns early tomorrow morning. I'll add pictures for you of him and Danny.
Oh, Tiffany seems to be doing better. We upped her medicine. She was able to go to her concert (I think that was Tuesday) and she didn't freak out. She came home one day (I think it was this week….) and said, "is this how everyone feels all the time?" I asked, "What do you mean?" She said, "I feel happy". It just made my heart melt. I think we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with her! It may be too late for many of her classes, but at least we are on the right track! She will have to take an English class over the summer. Hopefully that is it. :( She still has little to no motivation to do any school work, but I am getting tired of riding her butt all the time! She will see the counselor that I saw after gma died (that is next Saturday). That is who Ryan is seeing but his appt is on Tuesday.
I will keep you updated on everyone's progress. :) So, here are your weekly pictures. :)
Oh I forgot to tell you. I am being called to be the Ward Chorister/music chair person. I will be over all of the music in Sacrament (plus lead the music). It is a little outside of my comfort zone, but with the Lord's help, I can do it! :)
Well, I love you! Be good and work hard!
Love Always,
Mom
