How's my missionary?  We get to talk next Sunday for Mother's day!!!! woo hoo!!!!  What time???  We are in church until 2 (which is 1 your time).  We are free any time after that (don't forget to give us time to get home).

It has been a bit crazy around here. It never ceases to amaze me how we all just keep rolling with the punches.  You know we got home Sunday night.  It was good to see Tiffany.  We sure did miss her.  It did help me realize that she is a big girl and can take care of herself!  I must have done something right since all of my children can take care of themselves! I'm not sure I like that..ha,ha.

Monday, I went to work.  After getting home late, it was a tough shift.  Good thing I love my job!!! I was a little traumatized too, I had a research paper due and I had procrastinated, just like my children taught me. (ha,ha).  Lucky for my, my little guy slept so that I could work on it.  I wasn't too stressed since it was submitted for a peer review.  The comments that I received were NOT helpful.  Oh well!   After work, I was so tired, I was useless!!!  I thought the final draft was due Thursday, but upon closer review, it wasn't due until tomorrow…WOO HOO!  So, I procrastinated some more. ha,ha

Tuesday, I had physical therapy.  This knee is NOT fun.  I found out that I have chondromalacia of the medial femoral condyle that is about 9mm in diameter.  I wasn't really sure what it was, so I looked it up and I am still not sure what it is…ha,ha.  Basically, it is is a condition where the cartilage on the undersurface of the patella (kneecap) deteriorates, in my case it is on the medial femoral condyle, not the back of the patella.  Other than that, I don't know what it is (good thing google search is around!)

Wednesday, I was supposed to work on my research paper, instead, I worked on the papers due for my Nursing Management class..fun, fun…obviously, that was the lesser of 2 evils..ha,ha.  I don't know why I didn't want to do the research paper--other than it is a pain in my rear end!  Oh well,

Thursday, I worked again.  Yep, picked up an extra shift. I love the money from it, but I don't like being so tired!  ha,ha  I came home exhausted again and did NO homework.  Boy, do I sound like my children or what!?!

Friday, I got to go to physical therapy again…lucky lucky me.  Only problem is that I put on my calendar that it was for noon, but it really wasn't until 1 pm.  Talk about feeling stupid!  Chad was great and let me start early.  Ryan and Siera arrived for the weekend.  They are here for the blessing of Siera's little niece.  I felt bad leaving them here at home, but what else could I do???  We were supposed to go to a Teacher Appreciation event, but Tiffany and the teacher she chose and several other students were busy working on their art…AP Art is supposed to be turned in by early Monday morning…not only is everything supposed to be drawn, painted, ect.  they also have to take pictures of their art and crop it to the size limit that the AP site requires.  I was a good mom and brought over Little Caesers pizza (gross but cheap).  They were all so excited!  I also brought in a box of pretzels.  We had to call the stake and tell them that TT and her teacher would not be participating… :(  Oh well, TT stayed until after 7pm working.  Poor thing was exhausted!!!

Saturday, I had to work…only a half day from 6:00am until 12:30pm.  I found out that the Friday-day nurse messed with my little guy.  I guess his oxygen levels were not good.  She tried to suction his trach, but nothing came out.   So, she kept suctioning, and suctioning…several times.  I guess she irritated it so bad that he started bleeding.  The night nurse was FURIOUS!  Of course when I came in and got report I asked him why she didn't just to a couple of breathing treatments…he could almost not talk he was so mad.  Every time I had to suction him, he would flinch…in other words, it still hurt.  The bleeding had stopped.  I ended up having to give him Ibuprofen for the pain, but that really didn't help.  Usually when I rub lotion on him, he calms right down and usually goes to sleep..not my poor guy.  I even read to him, that also calms him down…nope!  I had to wait for 3 hours so I could administer tylenol.  If it had been one of you kids, I would have given you both the Ibuprofen and tylenol together, but since I have to follow orders I had to wait.  Right before I left, he finally started calming down.  It was so hard to watch him!!!!!  He is so innocent and perfect, he can't complain--I can only watch his heart rate for clues.  I have never before seen him flinch.  It broke my heart!

Tiffany went back to school to work on the art.  She didn't come home until around 4 or 5.  She gets real grumpy when she is tired..ha,ha.  She finished all the drawings and the picture taking.  She still needed to crop the pictures.  I think she was just too tired!

Today, Tiffany is cropping the pictures.  You can tell she is not enjoying herself.  She is trying real hard not to be grumpy.  This week will be hard for her too.  Her art will be done but she has a BIG German project due friday…has she started it…NOPE, and a research paper due Friday--she has 2 pages of her 8 - 10 pages complete.  She will NOT be a happy camper!  (please pray for her)

Today, I finished up my research paper.  I finally decided I just didn't care.  If I get a bad grade on it, I will still pass the class.  I am just so over it!  It has been hard because English uses MLA formatting and all my other classes (for the last few years) requires APA.  I keep mixing them up and this teacher is such a dork!  She marks me off big time!  I even warned her.  I did send in my paper to Tiffany's English teacher to have him look at the formatting only.  He gave me some pointers, so I took those and hopefully I will do better!  Unfortunately, I really don't care.  However….I turned that paper in and the "reflection paper" where you grade yourself on the paper.  The GREAT news???  I AM FINISHED WITH THAT STUPID ENGLISH CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We finished up our group project in my nursing management class on Saturday and turned that in.  I did the last assignment this morning…woo hoo, it is all done!  It is due next Saturday and if you turn it in early she docks you big time.  I think she looks for misstakes because she thinks you don't do your best if it is early…go figure!  Can you tell I am so sick of school???  Anyhow, I have everything done.  Other than turning it in on Saturday…SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!

Oh, if you haven't guessed, I am not taking any classes over the summer.  I think I am just too burned out.  I will pick it back up in the fall.  Actually, I already registered for Fall.   I am only taking 1 class though!  2 classes and working is a bit much.  If dad didn't push me to get my BSN, I would probably just work full time.  He keeps telling me that I am too close (5 more classes) and he says "don't you want to meet your goal?"  Sometimes I wonder if it is his goal, not mine…ha,ha.  I will be good and finish--just slower!

Well, I can't wait to chat with you on Sunday!  Having missionaries makes me like Mother's Day again!  Well, always remember who you are!  Mind your p's and q's.  Be strictly obedient (unless it is talking with your mom,,ha,ha) Sprint during this home stretch!

I love you beyond measure!
Love, Mom
