I worry because it has your Christmas tree and your presents in it. I would hate for it to be returned…it was not cheap to send. :( Let me know what to do.
Ok, now on to the week I had…cause you know you love to hear about what I am doing..lol
So, I can't remember what I did on Monday…I probably started to study but didn't get too far. Actually, I went over to a friends house to help her with some of the decorations for our graduation. We ended up finishing and started pulling off the wallpaper in their kitchen. It was acttually therapeutic..ha ha.
Tuesday was my last day in clinical! I got to be in the intensive care unit (ICU). I got to do a lot of cool stuff--like doing tracheostomy care, inserting an NG tube (that is a tube that goes down your nose and into your stomach so that they can feed them). I even got to draw blood from an arterial line…pretty cool! It was AWESOME to be done. After our clinical, we all went out to dinner. I could have done without that, but oh well. :)
Last day of Clinical
Wednesday, I hadd to be at school early. I volunteered to assist with a 5th grade field trip. They came to the nursing department and we had different stations for the classes. My station was the "mystery box". We had a box covered with 4 holes in it…the first hole had poop-dough (playdough shaped into poop), 2nd peeled grapes (eyeballs), 3rd cooked spaghetti noodles (guts), 4th Jello (brains). Kids had to put their hand in each of the hole and try to guess what was in there. They were all pretty grossed out. It was a lot of fun. I went home and tried to study, but I just struggled! I could not stay focused.
Thursday, I had my final. I was worried since I didn't study, but I did my best! I ended up with a 96%--not bad for not studying. We had to go to Pine Creek High school for our graduation practice.
Friday, we had the graduation. I had to go early to help decorate. I was a little freaked out when dad and Tiffany wasn't showing up. I guess Dad could not find his wallet…UGH. He made it on time and the graduation went real well!
We (me, dad, Tiffany and Ryan) went out to dinner afterwards. There were lots of parties that I was invited to, but I really just wanted to spend time with my family. It was the best ever. I even had 2 friends from the ward show up. I was so surprised! It was Sister Snow and Rachel Gilman (Eli's mom). What really got me is that they each came alone--just for me :) Isn't that awesome. I felt so loved!!!
I got a text message from Jessica informing me that they took Danny to the Emergency Department. I guess Danny was on the table and fell off onto his face…those things always happen! Danny is fine! I got a couple of cute pictures of him with his first black eye. :(
He is still adorable!!!
Saturday we had a good storm. We had gone out shopping, then decided to just get home. I can't believe how many people were on the side of the road, or stuck. That night, I went with Siera to a Christmas party at Sister Meyer's house…you remember Jessica talking about "Thomas Meyer's" who had a huge crush on her? Well, it is his mom. It was an alright party. Siera consider's Sister Meyer as an honorary Aunt. She even calls her Aunt Renee.
We got an e-mail late Saturday night informing us that church was cancelled due to icy roads. I am sure if we did not have the 9am session, we would have had to go to church. We all sort of lounged around…it was nice!
I was going to do an NCLEX review class this week up in Denver, but decided that I am just burned out and need a break! So, I will take it in January. We leave on Saturday for Diana's house. I am excited for it and dreading it at the same time…isn't that bad. Part of me wants to stay home and just chillax. Oh well. I hope it will be a fun vacation. I worry about Nala. Since Chipper has been gone, she has really withdrawn. She is more scared then what she was before. I think eventually she will adjust.
Well, I hope you get your package soon. I sure would hate for it to be returned! Always remember who you are! Know you are loved beyond measure…mind your p's and q's. Be strictly obedient and finish the race sprinting. I am so proud of you! I can't wait to Skype with you on Christmass day! Just tell me what time and I will be on! I love you always!!
Love,
Mom
